Amerika ist im Ausnahmezustand - und Frank Grillo und Elizabeth Mitchell sind mittendrin: Die Purge-Nacht steht bevor; die Nacht, in der für 12 Stunden alle Verbrechen legal sind. Die Senatorin und Präsidentschaftskandidatin Charlie Roan ist für die strikte Abschaffung dieser blutigen Tradition. Sie will - gemeinsam mit ihrem Sicherheitschef Leo Barnes - die Nacht im Amtsgebäude aussitzen. Der Plan wird jedoch vereitelt, sodass Roan und Barnes auf die Straße müssen.
